KM District Spelling Bee

2020-21 Spelling Bee

KM will hold the district spelling bee in January 2021.  

Students in grades 5-6 and 7-8 will be chosen by a written spelling test that their teacher has given them. Those that want to participate will be involved and the winner(s) will participate in the regional spelling bee.

There are two (2) Regional Spelling Bees. The top six spellers from each Regional competition will advance to the Southeast Minnesota Final Spelling Bee.

The champion of our Southeast Minnesota Spelling Bee Final will win an expenses-paid trip (including one adult) to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC.
